Students receive high quality, explicit instruction from highly trained, passionate staff with a strong emphasis on Mathematics and English. Students also study Physical Education, Health, Visual and Performing Arts, LOTE (Auslan), HASS and ICT. In 2024 the school will be involved in the Resilience Project and the Energy Breakthrough. Maroona Primary School is part of the Ararat Rural Cluster. Students participate in sporting and educational activities and camps with Moyston, Pomonal, Buangor, Ararat North, and Willaura Primary Schools.
