Maroona Primary School is situated 18 kilometres south of Ararat. In 2021 it has a population of 33 students and 5 teaching and support staff.

School Calendar
Maroona Primary School exists to support local families to raise their children. The school's values of honesty, kindness, respect and excellence reflect the values of the wider community.

Students receive high quality, explicit instruction from highly trained, passionate staff with a strong emphasis on Mathematics and English. Students also study physical education, health, visual and performing arts, LOTE (Auslan), HASS and ICT on a weekly basis.  In 2020 the school will be involved in the resilience project.

At Maroona, teachers work closely with families to support students achieve great things.  ‘We believe in being an outward facing school where parents and members of the community are welcomed.' Parent involvement and engagement with school has a big effect on student outcomes.
